Description
What’s the difference between paragliding with skis and speedriding ?
When paragliding with skis, we’re able to gain altitude and admire the landscapes that surround us. You might even see some chamois and ibexes depending on the season !
The take-off and flight happen the same way for paragliding with or without skis, contrary to speedriding where your skis stay on the ground, riding the slope ! In between skiing and flying, speed riding is quite technical and you’ll need a good skiing level.
The much smaller glider allows you to go down the slopes at full speed, sometimes over 100km/h !
An experience full of adrenaline, only for thrill-seekers…
Paragliding with skis, how does it take place ?
You’ll meet your instructor in la Clusaz ! Before the flight you’ll have to get a ski pass in order to take the chairlift going to the take-off (depending on the type of flight).
Once you’ve arrived at the take-off your instructor will provide you with a harness. You’ll just have to ski down a little bit in order to take off and once in the air you’ll be comfortably seated and able to admire the view. The landing is also very smooth, at the bottom of the station with your skis still on.
If you don’t feel comfortable taking off with skis, we also offer paragliding flights without them.
